TRIVIA- In 1732, Johann Sebastian Bach composed
his "Kafee-Kantate". Partly an ode to coffee and partly
a stab at the movement in Germany to prevent women
from drinking coffee (it was thought to make them
sterile), the cantana includes the aria "Ah! How sweet
coffee tastes! Lovelier than a thousand kisses, sweeter
far than muscatel wine! I must have coffee..."

Here's your Print & Save Recipe of the Month . . .
Here's a fabulous drink recipe for all you chocolate
lovers! This recipe yeilds four servings - increase
the quantities to make enough to serve a larger
gathering of friends and family!
2 ounces (2 squares) semi-sweet chocolate **
4 teaspoons granulated sugar **
1/4 cup heavy cream **
4 cups freshly brewed Sunbelt coffee**
Whipped cream, garnish **
Grated milk chocolate, garnish **
Melt chocolate in a heavy gauge saucepan over low
heat, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar and heavy cream.
Blend until smooth, then gradually whisk in 4 cups of hot
Sunbelt coffee. Divide mixture among 4 coffee mugs,
topping each with whipped cream and finely grated milk
chocolate. Serve immediately.
TRIVIA- In early 1900 Germany, afternoon coffee
becomes a standard occasion. The derogatory
term "Kaffeeklatsch" is coined to describe women's
gossip at these affairs. It has since broadened to mean
relaxed conversation in general.
